Students can renew most items from the AU Libraries twice. Materials with short-term loans (markers, books on reserve, etc.) cannot be renewed. Faculty and staff have a longer check out period and are not allowed to renew items.
To renew a book, go to the catalog click the sign in/request items link at the top right of the screen. Enter your JagID and password. Click the loans tab on the following page. If you can renew an item . You can also contact the Libraries to renew items on your behalf.
Items borrowed through GIL Express
Books borrowed from other University System of Georgia (USG) Libraries through GIL Express have no renewals.
Items borrowed from Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
The lending library may or may not allow renewals. You can request a renewal through your Reese or Greenblatt ILLiad account. After logging in, click the View/Renew checked out items link. There will be a link to request a renewal if the lending library allows renewals.
